Every Day by David Levithan

Every Day follows the story of "A," a mysterious being who wakes up each morning in a different body, living a different person's life for 24 hours. A has accepted this strange existence—never forming attachments, never interfering—until one day, they wake up in the body of Justin and meet his girlfriend, Rhiannon. For the first time, A wants something more: connection, love, and a sense of permanence. As A begins to pursue a relationship with Rhiannon across shifting identities, the novel explores deep questions about identity, empathy, and what it means to truly love someone for who they are on the inside.

Coyotes’ Library Adventure…

From now until the start of school on August 25th, we’re challenging every member of our community—students and parents/guardians—to complete a few fun library-related tasks. Here’s how it works:

Visit your local library and sign up for a library card (if you don’t already have one).
Check out one non-book item—it could be anything from a home insulation kit to a birding backpack!
Read a book that has a color in its title.
Listen to an audiobook—either by checking out CDs from the library or using the Libby app.

Once you’ve completed all four tasks, email me directly, and you’ll be entered into a drawing to win a $50 Amazon gift card! We’ll have one student winner and one adult winner!

But that’s not all—we’re also hosting a student art contest inspired by the theme:

Students can submit hand-drawn or digital artwork. The winning poster will be used to promote our library fun in the future—and the artist will receive a $50 Amazon gift card as well!

Let’s celebrate all the amazing things our libraries offer. Remember:

GWCS Summer Hours…

While GWCS is officially closed for the summer. Mr. Petty will usually be at the school on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesdays from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm and Mr. Connelly will be there meeting with prospective families off and on all summer.

Feel free to call the school at 703.978.7208 and leave a message asking to arrange a time to swing by if there’s something you need to pick up or drop off. Include your name and phone number and a few options of when you would like to stop by.
