Staff and students alike enjoy a seamless IT environment.  Whether at school or at home, everything is at their fingertips through the internet.

OFFICE 365

ONLINE AND ON YOUR DESKTOP

"Office 365" refers to subscription plans that include access to Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) plus other productivity services that are enabled over the Internet (cloud services), such as Skype for Business conferencing and Exchange Online hosted email.  The infrastructure is located online so you can access it virtually anywhere, from a PC, tablet, smartphone, or other device with an Internet connection.  GWCS's Office 365 plan also includes the desktop versions of the latest Office applications, which students and their families can install across multiple computers (up to 5) and an unlimited number of mobile devices. To get started, login to your GWCS Office 365 account where you can download the latest versions of the Office suite of software products.  Click the Quick Start button for instructions on integrating 365 services like Outlook and OneDrive with your computer desktop.

OFFICE 365 MOBILE

Office Mobile is available for iPhone® and Android devices. Office Mobile offers great Office content viewing and on-the-go content editing capabilities. Simply download the app from the store on your phone and view, create and edit documents with touch-friendly Word, Excel and PowerPoint apps. You can count on Office Mobile to keep your content and formatting intact so the document looks great when you’re back on your PC or Mac.

OneNote

You will find the OneNote App available for use on the GWCS Faculty/Staff Team Site. You can use the mobile OneNote app to access your notes while on the go. This app is available on Windows Phone 8, iPhone, iPad, and Android phones.

MS Outlook Web App

Microsoft Outlook Web App is a browser-based email client. Outlook Web App lets you access your Microsoft Exchange Server mailbox from almost any web browser.  Your Office 365 subscription includes Exchange Online, where you can use the OWA app to sort, scan, and respond to email, and stay on top of your schedule. This app is also available on iPhone and iPad.

OneDrive for Business

OneDrive for Business is the place where you can store, sync, and share your work files. As part of Office 365, OneDrive for Business lets you update and share your files from anywhere and work on Office documents with others at the same time. Each GWCS user gets 1 TB of space in the cloud for OneDrive for Business.  Files that you store in OneDrive for Business are private initially – only you can see them. You can also share files with specified co-workers so you can collaborate on projects. To access your OneDrive for Business library, select OneDrive (short for OneDrive for Business) in the header at the top of a SharePoint or Office 365 page.  The OneDrive for Business sync app lets you install the drive right on your computer's file directory. To sync OneDrive for Business, just sign in to Office 365, select OneDrive at the top of the page, and then click Sync. If you use a Mac, you will need to download the sync client by clicking here.

SharePoint

Office 365 gives GWCS new collaboration and document sharing capabilities through its SharePoint Services portal.  Groups within GWCS can now have their own websites and shared workspaces all under one roof.  If you've already signed into Office 365 and set up your account, be sure to check out all that SharePoint has to offer.
