GWCS 2023 Spain Trip Informational Meeting
thursday, september 29th from 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Dear families,
Your student is invited to join us on an upcoming educational travel experience to Spain in Spring 2023!
When students travel, they expand their knowledge of the world around them, discover more about themselves, and grow more confident. These skills are critical for creating the global citizens of tomorrow, and I would love to have your student join me on this adventure.
Come hear all the details, including the itinerary, activities, academic opportunities, the cost of the trip and EF’s risk-free enrollment period at our informational meeting on September 29th 2022 at 7:30. The meeting will take place on Zoom.
Please click here to register for the meeting ASAP to save your seat: http://bit.ly/3xFAwyF.
There are limited spots on this trip, so we would love to have you attend this meeting to learn more about this exciting opportunity!

Take the PSATs & SATs @ GWCS…
Sign-up deadline: Monday, oct. 3
PSAT Testing date: Wednesday, Oct. 12
SAT Testing date: Wednesday, Oct. 12
This year we are offering the SAT through the SAT School Days program alongside the PSAT. This means that we will be administering the test on a weekday, expanding access to a globally recognized college admission test that's widely accepted at U.S. colleges. This is a great opportunity for those who haven’t yet taken it a first time, those who may want to retake it (and see if they get a higher score – they’ll submit your highest to colleges), or even Sophomores who feel comfortable with the PSAT and feel ready to try out the SAT.
The PSAT will be offered this year for any underclassmen (grades 9-11) who would like to take the PSAT.
SIGN- UP DEADLINE: MONDAY, OCT. 3

Stressed about what’s on the test? Khan Academy has some great, free PSAT/SAT prep– you can find it HERE.
Once we have numbers solidified we will send more information about test-day policies, what to bring, and day-of schedules.

FRESH VEG NEEDED…
ESPECIALLY KALE!
This is Tortellini, our resident Russian Tortoise.
He is a ferocious plant eater. Kale leaves quake in his presence.
We have three turtle friends: Grouchy and Sweetie (red-eared sliders), and Tortellini (Russian tortoise). They are all on a natural raw diet which mainly consists of fresh, leafy greens! If you have any veggies from home or want to purchase and donate food items - it is much appreciated! Please bring donations directly to Ms. Kohler in the lab. The below list are their favorite staples. Thank you for helping keep our beloved school pets well nourished!
Kale
Mustard greens
Shredded carrots
Yellow squash
Zucchini
