STUDENT OF THE WEEK...
The Student of the Week is DANNY SAILE for representing the GWCS value of LEARNING. Danny always comes to class with his work done and eager to participate. His work is exceptional in almost every case. One of his teachers said "Danny's enthusiasm for learning makes him a joy to work with."
Check out the 'Student of the Week' bulletin board near Mr. Pereira's classroom. Each week a student is recognized for his or her demonstration of one of the eight GWCS Values.

Dear GWCS Parents,
Thank you so much for all you've contributed to our vibrant community this year! This was the first year that the PAC received a contribution from every family due to the implementation of the GWCS registration fee. These funds were used to pay for meals at the PAC meetings and for all Teacher Appreciation Funded activities, including the birthday, half-birthday, teacher appreciation week activities and gifts for staff members that supplemented your generous delightful homemade goodies. We also dipped into the fund for “care packages” sent in September to last year’s grads, as well as assisting with some trips such as the XSTEM symposium and Spanish field trip.
Thanks also to everyone who participated in our PAC Auction; I'd especially like to thank Samantha Bailes and Jeanine Ferguson and Deiadre Rauch and their families for sponsoring parties in their homes, which put "fun" into these fundraisers for so many of us. I'd also like to thank Marianne Voight and Steve Rose for hosting our late winter parent party, a well-attended, enjoyable complement to the PAC sponsored pot-luck party in the fall.
I enjoyed meeting so many of you at the monthly parent coffees, or while participating in a GWCS community service event. It's been my pleasure to be your PAC president for the 2014-2015 school year. In the spirit of continuous improvement, Alexa Warden will have some changes in store for the PAC next year and we look forward to your participation. We can't do it without you!

WEEKLY STATUS REPORTS...
We are not currently not able to email status reports. But, don't despair, weekly status reports as well as activity and community service hours are always available online on the student's CoyoteWeb account. Login name is always student's first name and last initial (for example: AlexaW). Families will need to obtain passwords from their children.
Thank you for your patience and support while we upgrade our technology!
