NEXT WEEK AT GWCS... OCTOBER 11-17, 2015

STUDENT OF THE WEEK...

The student of the week is TED MORGAN for demonstrating the value of TEAM PLAY

Ted is an incredible athlete and it is easy to appreciate this because he is humble and ready to help others become incredible athletes, too.  He is caring and kind on the court and off. He is a model coyote!

Check out the 'Student of the Week' bulletin board near Mr. Pereira's classroom. Each week a student is recognized for his or her demonstration of one of the eight GWCS Values.

GWCS Values: Learning, Service, Kindness, Excellence, Responsibility, Investment, Team Play, Intellectual Curiosity

PAC PAW PRINTS...

Coyote PAC is a GWCS program designed to more formally incorporate the wealth of parental resources and talents that are so obviously abundant in our community.

GW Community School: PAC Parent Meeting:

PAC Parent Meeting Parents, please join us for the PAC Parent meeting

  • When: Thursday, October 15, 2015 at 6:30 PM - 8 PM
  • Where: GW Community School
  • Theme: How to optimize your child’s educational experience at GWCS

We will also discuss goals for Fund Raising, Facilities and Graduation. And to reduce the 'pick up' stress; students can stay after school for activities and clubs. PAC will provide pizza and a film for them in another area of the school. Then you can leave together after the meeting. Parents, please sign up and let PAC know if you can attend. And we will have an 'Appetizer Pot Luck', so you can sign up to bring a refreshment. For convenience, keep in mind that there is a new Giant Food market next door to our building.

Fall Annual Fund Drive for the GWCS Foundation:

Make a donation to the GW Community School Foundation and help to ensure that scholarships are available to deserving students.  All funds raised by the Annual Fund go to scholarships for current or potential students.  Click on this link to donate to the GW Community Foundation Online:  http://www.gwcommunityschoolfoundation.com/support-us.html
