Dear GWCS Community…

This A Reminder For Our Fabulous GWCS Community…

With grateful hearts we thank you for your ongoing support of the GWCS Foundation and – as a result – our GW Community School students. We would love for you to keep the GWCS Foundation in mind during this 2025 season of giving.

In the first half of the school year, your tax-deductible contributions have directly supported activities, programs and events that enhance and enrich the GWCS student experience, including:

  • Camp Coyote | Sept. 26 - 27

  • Senior Essay Writing Retreat | Sept. 29 - Oct. 1

  • Junior Gettysburg Film & Tour | Oct. 9 - 10

  • School Spirit Week & Homecoming | Nov. 17 - 21

  • Field Trips & Amazing Days

    • Foraging with a mycologist (a scientist who studies fungi!)

    • Making guacamole and salsa from scratch

    • Building and then staining a table (using power tools!)

    • Attending Grouchy-the-turtle’s veterinarian appointment

In addition – thanks to your generous contributions – the GWCS Foundation was thrilled to award partial scholarships to FOUR GW Community School students this year. We also introduced a “Last Chance” Trip Award, giving seniors the opportunity to receive financial support to participate in one of the school’s non-subsidized overnight trips.

As we approach the end of 2025 and think about what we’re grateful for, we hope you’ll consider the GWCS Foundation for any charitable gifts. Every contribution is tax deductible, and has a direct and immediate impact on each and every GW Community School student. Please click here if you would like to make a donation.

Reminder: Take a minute to check your company's matching gift program to see if your employer will match your donation and double your impact.

Thank you again for your generous support. We wish you all a happy and healthy holiday season. For those who contributed so meaningfully last year, we are in the process of creating and installing your plaques!

With thanks for your support,

Andrea Spiegel
