The Heritage Feast… 11/25

We are thrilled to invite all GWCS families to the 15th annual Heritage Feast, a cherished tradition that celebrates the rich cultural diversity of our community.

Event Schedule — Tuesday, November 25, 2024

  • 9:00 AM – Food Drop-off

  • 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM – Heritage Feast

  • 11:50 AM – Early Dismissal

About the Heritage Feast

This beloved GWCS tradition began in 2000, when a student approached Ms. Warden with the idea of hosting a Thanksgiving dinner at school. Ms. Warden, a true champion of community and potluck gatherings, embraced the idea—and a tradition was born.

Originally, families brought their favorite Thanksgiving dishes. But in 2010, the event evolved to reflect the vibrant diversity of our school. Families began sharing dishes that represent their unique cultural heritage, and our Thanksgiving potluck became the Heritage Feast. Ms. Warden even composed a catchy jingle that fills our halls every November!

Join Us!

Bring your extended family and a dish that celebrates your heritage. Let’s make this 15th Heritage Feast one to remember!
