NO GYM!
Destination: The EDGE Team Development Course at George Mason
About: The Edge Team Development Course uses a variety of challenging activities that together can improve communication among students and heighten their sense of community. Through combining talents and competencies, communication, and sheer persistence, students collectively were able to surmount challenges that at first seemed improbable. There are many fun challenges offered to the group through the use of unique portable, as well as low and high challenge course initiatives, though all activities are “Challenge by Choice,” so any student who feels anxious, for example about climbing the tower at the end of the day, will be encouraged to participate in a meaningful team task on the ground (belaying the ropes).
Important! All students must bring a signed Assumption of Risk form! (Click here)
Meet at GWCS: 9:00 am (Go directly to school - NO GYM)
Pickup at GWCS: 3:15 pm

Help Needed for Graduation!
See Ms. Warden’s email below!
Dear Awesome Parents,
I just wanted to take a moment to give a big shout-out to all of you who made it to our graduation meeting this morning, and to those who have signed up to help out. Your support means everything!
With your help, we'll make this graduation ceremony one for the books. Your dedication and enthusiasm are contagious, and it's clear that our students have amazing role models in their lives.
Graduation is at the The George Washington Masonic National Memorial June 17th from 1pm-4pm. All students and families are invited! We have several shifts and ways that volunteers can contribute to this momentous event.
We have broken the volunteer opportunities into the following categories. If you weren't able to make the meeting, but volunteered to help, please shoot me an email and let me know where you'd like to jump in. We need help in all departments! Again, each job is task-analyzed and is simple and stress free :) Once you have indicated where you would like to help, I will send you the pertinent information.
We are having a follow-up meeting for those who can attend on May 19th at 9:15 at school.
Special note to Senior Parents: You do not need to volunteer—just show up and be proud!

FRESH VEG NEEDED…
ESPECIALLY KALE!
This is Tortellini, our resident Russian Tortoise.
He is a ferocious plant eater. Kale leaves quake in his presence.
We have three turtle friends: Grouchy and Sweetie (red-eared sliders), and Tortellini (Russian tortoise). They are all on a natural raw diet which mainly consists of fresh, leafy greens! If you have any veggies from home or want to purchase and donate food items - it is much appreciated! Please bring donations directly to Ms. Kohler in the lab. The below list are their favorite staples. Thank you for helping keep our beloved school pets well nourished!
Kale
Mustard greens
Shredded carrots
Yellow squash
Zucchini
