Ms. Cassie Sinichko - Administrative Director

Biography:

Cassie was born and raised in the suburbs of Pittsburgh , PA and graduated from Principia College in Elsah , IL with degrees in Elementary Education and Sociology. The first five years out of college were spent in Colorado where she met her husband, worked for a Youth Organization and as Asst. Director for a Child Development Center.

The last 24 years she has lived in Burke , Virginia where she raised her three children and worked as a substitute teacher for Fairfax County Public Schools. Mrs. Sinichko's family includes her husband Mark; son Justin who is a recent college graduate; daughter Kelsey who is an architecture student at Virginia Tech; daughter Becca who attends University of Montana.

Cassie joined GW as a staff member in 2006 but she has been a part of the GW community since 2005 when her son enrolled as a senior. These days you will find her sitting behind the desk at GW keeping busy with projects such as maintaining the school website; helping seniors with college applications; scheduling internships for juniors and seniors; assisting with graduation and many other school events throughout the year.  

Cassie has become quite adept at blocking out the chaos around her in order to get work done so please don't be offended if you find yourself standing at her desk waiting to be acknowledged and she doesn't even see you – it's a survival skill – just give her a poke and she'll be happy to help you with whatever you need.
