Seniors 2010

PDF Print E-mail

A typical senior year at GW starts off with students researching colleges and working on college essays first in English class and culminating with a three day essay writing retreat at Lake Anna.  Students and teachers stay in rustic cabins on the lake away from distractions and surrounded by supportive friends and teachers.  The next few months seniors are busy submitting applications, keeping up with school work, and participating in various school activities.  By mid winter most are done with applications and are stunned at the realization that their senior year is almost over.  Early spring, college acceptances arrive and the whole senior class and a group of teachers celebrate the year with a week long beach trip to Corolla, NC.  The senior beach trip is a week of creating memories that last a life time.
