We're on the Road and out of the Box!

PDF Print E-mail

It’s the fourth quarter of the school year and that means GWCS students are spending Fridays learning in the real world and taking part in experiential education.  Juniors and Seniors participate in R.E.A.L. Term, which is an eight-week internship program that allows them to actively experience the world of work.  R.E.A.L. stands for Realistic Education and Authentic Learning.  Internships, job shadows, and volunteer positions are individually matched with students according to their talents, interests, and skills.

Freshmen and Sophomores are participating in OBX, or Outside the Box learning - a series of adventures that celebrate collaborative teaching, experiential learning, and the richness of our community.  Each interactive Friday has been planned by groups of three GWCS faculty members and highlights interdisciplinary studies and school values.

We love spring at GWCS!
