GW provides an ongoing community service to the Fairfax County Park Authority by working at nearby King’s park to remove English ivy and other invasive plants that are detrimental to local plant life.  On September 21, a group of GW students and teachers headed back to King’s Park for the first invasive plant removal of the school year.  This community service will be ongoing throughout the year.

Stay tuned for reports on other community service events, including the Help-the-Homeless Mini Walk and PBJ sandwich-making for the homeless. Invasive Plant Removal 1
