What’s their secret? Dr. Pepper? Cheeseburgers?

What’s their secret? Dr. Pepper? Cheeseburgers? Clean living? Whatever it is, the SGA has scheduled and held fun events for almost every waking minute outside of school this fall. This week the SGA launched School Spirit Week. Monday, November 15, is pajama day, when students come to school in their ‘jammies; Tuesday, November 16, is decades day, when students are encouraged to dress as if they are from a different decade (Cyndi Lauper, anyone?); Wednesday, November 17, sports jersey day, gives students the chance to wear jerseys from their favorite teams (Roll Tide!); Thursday, November 18, is western day, when students put on their rootin’ skidootin’ cowboy and gal garb; and Friday, November 19, is coyote spirit day, when students wear the school’s colors of blue and gray. The week culminates in the homecoming basketball game against the New School at Accotink Academy at 3:15 pm and the homecoming dance that evening from 8 to 11 pm.

Earlier this month, the SGA held another video game marathon after school. And in October, the SGA organized two events for Halloween—pumpkin carving and a costume contest.
Pumpkin Carving…
Halloween costume contest and doughnut eating contest…
And the winner is…
Dangling doughnut eating contest…
As the holidays approach, the SGA will be putting on even more events, if possible. As always, watch our news!
