Last Updated on Tuesday, 03 January 2012 11:35
GW Community School is thrilled to welcome Ms. Jordana Eisen as our new Studio Art Teacher. Ms. Eisen grew up in Fairfax and completed a Bachelors in Fine Arts with a concentration in Printmaking at the Corcoran College of Art and Design in Washington, D.C. and her Masters in Fine Arts in Painting, Drawing and Printmaking from the State University of New York in New Paltz. Ms. Eisen joins GWCS every afternoon to teach Studio Art and because she's a good sport is also co-teaching Health/PE!
" Hello GW Community School! I am Ms. Eisen- the new Art Teacher. I am so happy to be teaching here and I think it will be a great year. I look forward to meeting all of you and I hope many of you will take Studio Art or join the Art Club. This Fall, students are learning about the elements of art: line, color, shape, form, texture and value. The first two weeks of school we learned about line. Below are pictures of the students drawing outside as well as finding interesting textures. Keep your eyes out for new artwork being displayed in the hallway and the art room!"
