GWCS Robotics in the FTC VA Championship
Last Updated on Tuesday, 18 August 2009 09:08
Though we did not finish very high in the rankings, we made a better showing than many of the other 47 teams. We managed to overcome hardware failures, damage, software changes, weak alliance partners, exhaustion, frustration and disappointment to show off the quality of our engineering and teamwork. We improved in each match we played, and left with lots of ideas on how to improve our robot before the Maryland Championship in February.
A special thanks to Blake, Mr. Andrews Bashan, Mr. & Mrs. Feeney, Mrs. Schaps, and Mrs. Lindner who all came down to support us and cheer us on. Blake was especially helpful in keeping our spirits up despite our disappointments and also in soliciting help from other teams when we got stuck with a software problem. Thanks also to all the school for your support and your patience while we took over the café to set up our practice field. We hope to give you all a demonstration of the current robot before we start modifying it. Go Coyotes!
