GWCS LARP - A Group Devoted to Hitting Each Other

The GWCS LARP (Live-Action Role Play) Club is a group devoted to hitting each other with a bunch of swords, and magic.  Every Tuesday after school (weather and holiday permitting), a group of student LARPers walk out on to the field and proceed to battle with their weapons of foam, tape, plastic, etc.  Everyone has their own health and abilities which they use to their full advantage to try and defeat their opponents.  All players join the army of Sir Lancelot (played by Matthew Gaughan) or Sir Galahad (played by Michael Schneider), the two Knights of Conundrum and help their team to victory.  Players can either make up their own character and classes or they can choose a premade character made by Michael Schneider.

LARP started in the fall on the Senior Writing Retreat.  Matt Horan found a sword that was covered with duct tape near the lake and that became the sword that started it all.  After that, Matthew Gaughan came up with the idea for everyone bring in fake weapons and fight with each other.  With that, the LARP club was born.  The club currently has 7 fighters.  Anyone, students or teachers, can join and bring their weapons and LARP it up.  Every meeting/battle is on Tuesdays after school unless there is a holiday or the weather is bad.  Come by and slay your opponents!
