2009 GWCS Fall Trip: Traveling the “World”

It’s time again for the annual GWCS Fall Trip! This year the fall trip destination is sunny Florida! More specifically we’ll be attending the Walt Disney World Youth Education Series (YES). GWCS students will be participating in the “Leadership Excellence” Program at EPCOT Center. The group of 17 students will learn skills and tactics to becoming better leaders. In addition to the YES program students will have time at each of the four major parks at Walt Disney World and the Blizzard Beach water park. The trip gives student the chance to interact with other students and teachers outside of the traditional classroom environment and get to know each other better. Past fall trips have included the Grand Canyon and other national parks in the Western US; London, England; New York City; and the Outer Banks, NC nature retreat.
