Parents as Partners

Parents and Partners is a program designed to more formally incorporate the wealth of parental resources and talents that are so obviously abundant in our community.

Inclement Weather Policy

Emergency closings can result in a late opening, early closing, or cancellation of a school day.  GW will generally follow the Fairfax County Public Schools in determining whether or not to delay or close school.   Safety is paramount and because our students travel from Maryland, Virginia and D.C. there are times when GW will make different decisions than FCPS.  In the case of an early closing - teachers will notify the students' parents by phone and email.
